Schellenberger, Ralph Edwin
Ralph Edwin Schellenberger, a lifelong resident of Sebringville, passed away peacefully at Hillside Manor on February 18, 2011 in his 92nd year.

He was born at Lot 1, Concession 3 of Fullarton Township, October 21, 1919, son of the late Edwin and Amanda (Dietrich) Schellenberger.

Ralph served with the RCAF from 1941 until 1946 and later owned and operated Ralph Schellenberger and Son Decorating Ltd for many years. He was an Elder and faithful member of Avonton Presbyterian Church, was former President of the Sebringville Athletic Association, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #8, Stratford, the Stratford Lodge #332 AF & AM, was a member of the Stratford on Avon Shrine Club and had been a member of the Festival City Kiwanis Club.

Beloved husband for 69 years of Helen (Ballantyne).

Loving father of Gary Schellenberger (Judy), Inez McTaggart (Dale), Nancy Lewis (Bill). Grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by a brother Louis Schellenberger (Janet), sister-in-law Inez Flanagan, brother-in-law Allan Ballantyne (Helene) and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Ralph was predeceased by a son James in infancy, sisters Marie Faust and Doris Pacquette, brothers-in-law Carl Faust, Gordon Pacquette and John P. Flanagan.

Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St. Stratford on Wednesday, February 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. The Reverend Catherine Calkin will officiate. Spring interment in Sebringville Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Avonton Presbyterian Church through the funeral home.
